Cream Cheese Frosting
This classic rich and tangy cream cheese frosting is perfect for many different types of cakes. I use it for spice cake, chocolate cake, as well as my pineapple carrot cake.
You can use this frosting for cookies as well. I was thinking about Pumpkin cookies the other day, so they are on my list to bake and add to my blog. This cream cheese frosting sounds just right for those cookies.

Ingredients
- 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
- 1/2 cup butter (softened)
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 4 cups confectioner's sugar
Instructions
- Mix together cream cheese, butter and vanilla in a large bowl on medium speed until well blended.
- Gradually add confectioner's sugar 1 cup at a time and continue mixing.
- Mix for 4 to 5 minutes until the frosting is creamy and smooth.
- Use right away or store in the refrigerator until ready to use.
- Keep refrigerated.
